Lobos Island
Fuerteventura

Our views of this small islet are unbeatable, especially on clear days. Isla de Lobos belongs to Fuerteventura, the neighboring island, from which the Strait of La Bocaina separates us and only 20 'by boat! Do you dare to know it?

Due to the strategic place where we are, we can affirm that we are a destination between 2 magical islands: Lanzarote (nature, art and culture (the different island) and Fuerteventura (the Canary Beach).

Looking at the sea

Fuerteventura is at our feet, while Lanzarote rests on our shoulders.

Isla de Lobos, is a small islet of about 4.5 km² located to the northeast of the island
from Fuerteventura. Separated by the Bocaina Strait, whose depth does not exceed 30 meters.

Its name is due to the fact that in the past monk or friar seals lived on the island
from the Mediterranean (also known as sea lions).

Efforts are underway to reintroduce the sea lions, despite the refusal of the fishermen.

natural Park

The entire island is protected and forms the Islote de Lobos Natural Park. It is home to more than 130 plant species and several species of birds, highlighting the herring gull, the bustard and the gray shearwater.

The seabed is an underwater reserve area and contains great ecological wealth.
